2007 Regional fun had by ALL!
Mike Holt has been working very hard for our region to get a schedule well in advance so everyone can make plans early.

U.S. Barefoot National Championships
Entry Deadline Friday August 11th
August 14-18, 2007
The 2007 Barefoot National Championships coming upon us quickly and the deadline to register is Friday August 11, 2007. Registration can be done by going to the Online Entry Form at http://www.barefootworlds.com/entryform/entryform.aspx The Paper Entry Form must be received by August 11, 2007 and sent to Zak Johnson 6924 Oliver Ave. No., Brooklyn Center, MN 55430 This years event is being held at the Blue Moo in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. For Seeding at the National Championships please review your scores (and sneak a peek at the competition) at http://barefoot.org/scores/ As of today all the tournament results that have been submitted are posted. If you don't find a tournament please contact the tournament director and remind them to submit the tournament results.
Open Towboats!
The American Barefoot Club (ABC) today announced the 2007 Barefoot Nationals Open Skier Towboat selections. The ABC counts the number of events pulled by each boat manufacturer from July 16, 2006 to July 15, 2007 and the manufacturer with the greatest number of events pulled has first choice in selecting which Open Skier event they want to use to highlight their boat. The manufacturer with the second highest number of events pulled gets second choice and so on until all the Open events are covered. This year Sanger had the first pick followed by Malibu. The selections alternate between the manufacturers until all 6 Open events are covered.
The results of that selection and therefore the boats used this year for the 2007 US Barefoot Nationals are:

Open Men's Tricks- Malibu
Open Women's Slalom- Sanger
Open Women's Tricks- Malibu
Open Men's Jump- Sanger
Open Women's Tricks- Malibu
Scott Pellaton selected for Sanger Boats and Ron Scarpa made the selections for Malibu Boats. It should be noted that Sanger indicates they will have both the 8.1 and 6.2 on site for Nationals and these boats are considered identical. The Chief Driver will select the boats with the best speed to equal the needs of the skiers in the various groups.
Malibu will showcase their 2007 LXI at Nationals.
